A Perfect Heart
1 Chr 28:9
4-19-09
What are the characteristics of a perfect – how would I know if I had one with which I was serving the Lord? Your heart should be like the following to be a perfect heart.
A Perfect Heart is a:
Pure heart – Matt 5:8, Ps 24:4 - Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully
Believing heart – Mk 11:23 [prayer], Lk 24:25 [scripture] - For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith - Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken
Honest heart – Lk 8:15 - But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience
Obedient heart – Rom 6:17 - But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you
Humble heart – Matt 11:29 - Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls
God-fearing heart – Jer 32:40 - And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me
Willing heart – 1 Chr 29:9 - Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy
Rejoicing heart – 1 Chr 16:10; Ps 13:5 - Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD - But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation
Understanding heart – 1 Ki 3:9, 12 - Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
