THE BEGINNING

There are only four possibilities for the existence of the universe:

1. The universe was always here.
   This is impossible because of the 2nd law of thermodynamics . The 2nd law states that in all energy transformations there is a tendency for some of the energy to be transferred into non-reversible heat energy. This loss of energy is called "entropy", and the entropy of a closed system always tends to increase. Thus everything rusts, rots, spoils, runs down, breaks down, wears out or dies.
   
   
2. The universe came from nothing naturally.
   This is impossible because of the 1st law of thermodynamics. The 1st law states that energy can be transformed in various ways but that it can neither be created nor destroyed. Evolution professes increasing organization, increasing integration and development, which are a form of creation, and contrary to the 1st law.
   
   
3. The universe is only an imaginary illusion.
   This is insanity.
   
   
4. The universe came from nothing supernaturally.
   This is the testimony of the Bible. Gen. 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Heb. 11:1, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
   

NOBODY CAN DEMONSTRATE THAT GENESIS 1:1 IS WRONG.

Scientists themselves rule out the first three possibilities. The only plausible explanation for the existence of the universe is the record of Genesis. Jesus Christ confirmed that there was a "beginning" and that Adam and Eve were created. Matt. 19:4, "… he which made them at the beginning made them male and female."

Others who testify of creation: Solomon, Ecc. 12:1; Paul, Acts 17:24; the Psalmist, Ps. 146:5,6; John, Jn. 1:3; Isaiah, Is. 40:28; Peter, 2 Pet. 3:4; Hezekiah, 2 Ki. 19:15; Huram, 2 Chr. 2:12; Levites, Neh. 9:6; David, Ps. 124:8; and Jeremiah, Jer. 32:17.
