The Four Gospels

There are four gospels in the Bible

The first gospel preached is the gospel of the kingdom – Jewish only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel – Matt 4:23; 15:24; 10:6-7

The gospel of the church age is 1 Cor 15:1-4 – Acts 20:24 gospel of the grace of God – Rom 1:16

Refined by “my gospel” that reveals the mysteries given to Paul – Rom 2:16, 16:25

An angel will preach the everlasting gospel but that is for the trib – Rev 14:6-7

So today we only have the gospel of Jesus Christ [called the gospel of Christ 2 Cor 4:4]

By seeing what the right gospel is we can then see what the other gospel is

So what is this other gospel?

Glimpse in Acts 15 [15:7] where they discuss the law in relation to gentile salvation

Gal 2:14-16 not justified by the law but now justified by faith in Jesus

This gospel is preached by all religions – there is something that you have to do in the way of keeping the law, or the rituals, in order to be saved – and Paul said let him be accursed – which is exactly what’s going to happen to him anyway Gal 3:10-13

Gospel Perverts –

v.6 – remove you from Christ

v.7 – trouble you – make it harder

v.8-9 – put you under a curse Gal 3:10-13 [they are accursed] – Matt 23:13-15

v.10-12 – seek to please men – there is in each of us an element of self-righteousness – this kind of gospel is very appealing to our human nature – like Cain
